Big Game Safaris
Environmental Educational Course for South African Primary School
Pupils.
Big Game Safaris has a lot of experience in game viewing and top
rated lodging. We have had up close and personal experiences with
all of the Big Game of Southern Africa which we want to share with
our tourists.
We know where to go, how to get there and how to find these
magnificent animals in their natural environment, so that we can
make others enjoy these incredible animals as we have done so many
times before and cant get enough of.
We at Big Game Safaris would love the share our unforgettable
experiences with children in and around South Africa and give them
the most memorable time of their life and introduce them to these
magnificent animals so that they can have a breathtaking Big Game
encounter.

Program for a 2 night stay
Day 1:
Arrival at Bush Camp, (earliest 12h00), unpack, briefing on
educational course, short swim and a game of volleyball to loosen up
those stiff limbs, lunch, general talk about conservation, game
drive, return for supper, wildlife video, bedtime.
Day 2:
Wake up at 6h00, bush walk, come back for breakfast at 8h30,
identification of trees, leaves, bark, flowers in theory and in the
field, game drive, play a game of rounders short swim, lunch at
1h00. At 2h00 identification of birds, learning how to use a bird
book in theory and in the field, game drive with visit to the lion
breeding project, supper at 18h30, drumming around campfire -
bedtime.
Day 3:
Early morning walk with he animals (at the moment a baby lion)
breakfast, pack up and leave before 10h00.
The program is adjusted to suit the age group of the children and if
there are any requests please let us know what you would like to
include in the program.
All parents or guardians have to sign an indemnity form for their
children.
What to Take along
Sleeping bag. pillow if required
Knife, fork, spoon, mug, plate and bowl
Swimming costume, towel, toiletries
Clothing for the period of stay including a jersey and a rain
jacket
Pen and writing pad
Sun block, Insect repellent, personal medicines
Hat and good walking shoes
Binoculars and bird books if available
Small torch, camera if desired.

Programme for a 4 night stay
Day 1:

lion), breakfast, short talk on game farm management and poaching
(showing of traps) visit to the orphaned animals, lunch. Talk on
identification of poisonous snakes and treatment of snake bites,
construction of stretcher, game of volleyball, game drive, supper,
drumming around camp fire, bedtime.
Day 4:
Breakfast, day spent at the Blyderiver with the opportunity to
experience riverine vegetation and ecology, fun activities such as
climbing monkey ropes, swimming, building bridges etc. picnic lunch.
Return to bush camp late afternoon, write test on all subjects
covered, supper, fun evening and activities, bedtime.
Day 5:
Sport activities depend on the time for the year. The program is
adjusted to suit the age group of the children. If there are any
